The varietal is obvious as soon as it hits the glass. Deep color and characteristic Syrah nose are a dead give away. Mineral slate forward that changes quickly to bright fruit with a lovely finish that includes a suggestion of green peppercorn. Soft and modest tannins make this one an early drinker.
