Black Cherries, plum, black berries and black licorice with a hint of well-integrated new oak set this wine apart from the "ho-hum" cabernets. As the flavors make their way through the palate, a touch of coffee, leather and toast can be found, ending with a bright finish that begs to be paired with red meats and red sauces. The grapes came to us from the vineyard with perfectly balanced chemistry and excellent flavor. From the day this wine finished secondary fermentation, these aromas and flavors have been quite apparent. With the benefit of new oak- and cellar-aging, it has become even more pleasing and complex.
